About Counselling

I am very vocal about how useful counselling can be. I have a theory that we’re all a bit messed up and those of us who are less messed up are those of us who’ve seen a counsellor.

Counselling has been described as a conversation with a purpose. The purpose is to help someone look at any particular issues they bring, find out about themselves and discover their way forward. The conversation describes the process – communication between the counsellor and client; and between the client and their own inner world. It can be a painful process but if stuck with will result in bringing a smile back into life.

My style of counselling comes from a mixture of what I have studied and learned and the person I am. For more technical information see About Me.

**Please note that from 1 January 2018 I am not currently taking on any new clients.**
